The annual river down Celtic Way has returned, prompting questions as to when the gullies were last maintained within the parish.
Last December 2021, BPC minuted a request to North Somerset Council to “carry out urgent gully cleansing throughout the village”, but residents can’t tell whether Celtic Way, or indeed any other streets in the parish outside the ‘village’, are included on any 'village' maintenance schedule. There was no update at Monday's meeting but from the current BPC information this urgent job is still outstanding. (See Parish vs Village boundaries).
Any informative updates` that may be contained in the Clerk’s Report to councillors is unknown, as despite best practice, BPC don’t publish accompanying appendices and reports with their Agenda or Minutes.
