Parish Council Approve Solar Application

Posted on 14th June, 2013

Image of Solar Farm ArrayBleadon Parish Council announced at their monthly meeting on Monday 10th June 2013 to approve the Solar Array Planning application subject to provisos. (More information here or from parishclerk@bleadonparishcouncil.gov.uk). Apparently Bleadon Parish Council sent letters to residents in the Facum Lane area and received one objection, perhaps there maybe confusion with the land title of South Hill Farm and believing this development is near South Hill, Bleadon Mill. Although more comments have been made directly to North Somerset and BOB.

So, if you do have any comment to make or know others who enjoy the views from Purn Hill (an Avon Wildlife Trust owned designated Site of Specific Scientific Interest) and may also like to comment, please let North Somerset know them by this Wednesday 19th June 2013.

Please also find attached a statement from The Mendip Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty for reference. Other comments and information including an Environmental Impact Assessment report commissioned by the applicant can be found here (old link http://wam.n-somerset.gov.uk/MULTIWAM/showCaseFile.do;jsessionid=149438FBC3AB9CE664300FF5EF4386B9?action=show&appType=Planning&appNumber=13/P/0854/F2) [Environmental Statement & NSC Natural Environment statement]
