Stop the press, it can be done!

Posted on 10th June, 2016

The draft minutes for Monday's (June 6) Parish Council meeting have been published today (June 10), within a working week of the meeting! Consequently they are now available here http://www.bleadon.org.uk/parishcouncil.html and via the parish council website.

FYI, the minutes include BPC's decision to refuse the Bleadon Hill Housing re-application.

So congratulations are due to the locum parish clerk Tony Jay (also clerk for Banwell PC) and the current composition of BPC. This is very refreshing following the previous debacle of late last year, when the past council and clerk restricted publication and access to minutes, which ultimately led to a complaint by BOB. This shows what can be done with the right will, skill, experience and above all, a bit of common sense.  Please keep up the good work BPC and hopefully this practice will continue when a permanent clerk is appointed.
