A couple of months ago the Bleadon Brownies, along with all the other children's groups in the area, were asked to enter a competition to decorate a Christmas tree for a Christmas competition in Weston.
After talking to the Brownies they all decided they wanted to enter this. So next it was to think about how.
Snowy Owl came up with the idea of making robins out of pom poms. It took the girls two weeks to do this but after a lot of hard work the pom poms were ready for the tree. We then had to think of a name for the tree. After a lot of options one of the Brownies, Jocelyn, came up with the name Robins Nest.
We entered the competition and I am pleased to say the girls won 1st place. Last week at the Batch Country Hotel the Bleadon Brownie pack was awarded a plaque and a gift from the mayor and mayoress.
Merry Christmas
