N0267 20062016 AN010 You may remember we recently asked for your assistance in relation to information about callers at the door. We are pleased to say that the information received has given positive leads for Trading Standards to investigate further. Please continue to be vigilant and report all callers at the door to the police in the first instance, whether they are buying or selling products or services. Please remind members to keep doors and windows closed and locked whenever property is unattended. Similarly it is all too easy to forget to secure sheds, garages, outbuildings and vehicles - a little inconvenience making sure property is secure can dramatically reduce the likelihood of becoming a victim of crime. If you have information about suspicious incidents or activity please telephone the police on the general number 101 - always ask the call handler to mark, or tag, your call Neighbourhood Watch (there were 2 such tagged calls across Somerset in May).
