Please see warning message below received from a Bleadon resident.
"Could you consider sending out a warning about fake telephone calls from people purporting to be from Microsoft / Windows. They try to make out they are trying to sort out some computer problems for you. I have just had one. They knew my surname and that I was from WsM. I suspect this was taken from the telephone directory information.
As I pretended I didn't have a computer, they discontinued the call.
I am conscious that some computer users in the village might be persuaded to engage with these callers and lose out."
If in doubt call 101 and report to Avon and Somerset Police.
