Community Gardening in the Churchyard Update

Posted on 17th August, 2019

An update from Rev Tim Erridge:

"In June, July and August it has been a joy to welcome new helpers at our "Churchyard working group" mornings. It is good to get to know local people whilst working together. If you have not yet joined in and want to, please do. If you need more info, please contact Tim on revtimerridge@gmail.com or 01934 815 404.

We have planted up previously overgrown grave plots and the splash of colour makes so much difference. Thank you to Bleadon in Bloom for providing plants.

We are pleased to see that an ornamental prunus which was mistakenly cut back very hard is now shooting strongly from the base and may even be better off long term of the mistake!

We are planning to be working together on 14th Sept, 5th Oct and 2nd Nov (All Saturdays from 10am to 12noon) Do come along and join in. Bring gloves and secateurs if you have them, but if not just bring yourself.

There are also still plots available for adoption. This means planting / tidying a specific plot at a time to suit you. Please ask if you would like to adopt.

Thank you for all your help so far and we look forward to working together again soon."
