Do you have green fingers?

Posted on 7th October, 2016

Would you like to help Weston Hospicecare? Then we would love to hear from you.

We are hoping that all you budding Monty Dons and Gertrude Jekylls out there would be happy to join our ‘Open Gardens for the Hospice 2017’ initiative and raise funds for Weston Hospicecare.

With winter approaching, and our thoughts turning to seed catalogues and cyclamen, this could be just the time to start planning your garden for next summer, and whether your garden is large or small, in the town or country, we would love you to help.

Your garden may be large enough to stand alone or smaller gardens in the same locality could join together giving access into five, six or even more gardens, with one or two of them providing refreshments, or if that is not practical, maybe serving refreshments in the local village hall. (A great deal of money can be made from tea and cake!)

If you would like to meet us to talk about the possibility of opening your garden next year we would love to see you at Jackson-Barstow House in Thornbury Drive, Uphill, for an informal chat (with some cake thrown in!)

We are holding two friendly get-togethers on 26 October at 3pm and 1 November at 7pm and would love to see you. Could you please contact Sally Davis on 01934 423927 or email sally.davis@westonhospicecare to let her know if you are available and which date suits you best. We are really looking forward to seeing you soon and working with you in this lovely and exciting event to raise much needed funds for the hospice.
