On the 1st June, a new craft club is launching in Bleadon. Called the ‘Bleadon Craft Club’, we will meet at the Church Rooms, Corner Coronation Road and Rectory Lane, (behind the Bus Stop Shelter) every Thursday from 14:00 to 16:00.
All crafts will be covered and we will share skills with other members as well as bring in visiting demonstrators/presenters.
This is a not-for-profit community club for the benefit of members and all are welcome whether they live in Bleadon or not.
There is an annual membership fee of £10 per annum and an entry fee of £1.50 each week.
Non-members are welcome on a drop-in basis for £2.50 entrance fee.
Tea, coffee and biscuits (with cake for special occasions) will be served and we really hope members will help each other with the running of the club, logistics and spreading the word.
We intend to take on worthwhile charity projects to raise money for them and long term we hope to sell member’s crafts at the market in Coronation Hall. There will be a table of member’s crafts for sale as well as charity items every Thursday.
As we grow and members agree, we will run a raffle to cover material and running costs.
A magazine and craft swop will be encouraged – we crafters end up with so much stuff we never get around to using that it would be good to put it to good use.
People can bring their current projects either for help or to work on during the two hours and of course we would love to see what people are working on. We would love to have a website eventually where we can showcase the work done by the members.
