THE CHURCH OF ST. PETER & ST. PAUL, BLEADON
Our Parish Church is centrally situated in a parish including both country and urban settlement. Christian worship has been celebrated for over seven hundred years here. The building is a Grade 1 listed structure and we welcome visitors to our services: perhaps just to take a “look around”. The Church is open for visitors every weekday throughout the year.

Our Sunday worship reflects the “middle ground” of Anglican practice with the Eucharist being the main service. Nevertheless a variety of alternative forms of devotion are performed. Please see “Church Services” for details.

You are invited to join the Friends of the Church who arrange a varied selection of events throughout the year thus raising funds towards Church expenditure.

We are again fortunate in the assistance rendered by lay people: Two lay readers take Matins, Evensong or the Family Service and regularly preach and assist at the Eucharist. Intercessions and readings are lead by lay people after consultation with the Rector.

--------------------- Music is an important aspect of our worship and we have a dedicated organist and choir who contribute a great deal in emphasising the spiritual message.

We are involved with the following organisations:

Contactus (the parish welcome group for new residents)

The Parish Council (Church members serve thereon)

The Scout Group (Scouts and Cubs) (Sponsored by the Church)

The Village Youth Club (the Church is represented on the Management Committee)
