Marshalls Quarry Traffic Open Meeting

Marshalls have invited Bleadon Parish Council to meet with them on a regular basis in the future to discuss traffic issues relating to their operations in Bleadon. The Parish Council would like to invite three members of the public to join them in these discussions. An open meeting will be held in the Coronation Hall at 7.30pm on Monday 23rd January 2017 when these three people will be selected. Everyone in attendance will be able to vote for their three choices.

Note: The above notice was emailed by BPC Clerk to BOB on 11/01/2017

Thanks for your comment. Although BOB is not one of the meeting organisers, my understanding is that residents of Bridge Road have long had traffic issues. Since Marshalls have extended their operations using larger and more frequent lorries, these issues have significantly increased and unfortunately culminating recently with a fatality at the junction with A370 where a Marshalls lorry was involved in the incident.
Can someone tell me why this has become such a big issue,Marshalls have been
Running lorries. Up and down Bridge road for years, what is different now.
